Supporting our caregivers requires a caring team with big hearts and smiles
Joan and Bill, Greg’s parents, started Selectacare in 1979 and the office became his after school home. Greg went on to get his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto and a Master’s in Health Administration at the University of Ottawa. After graduating, Greg worked with the Homes for the Aged Division of the City of Toronto as well as the North York CCAC. In 2002, Greg took over the business from his parents when they retired.
Greg enjoys working closely with both the client’s and caregivers. Going through the process of home care with his father for the last 17 years he understands the importance of great care and it’s impact on our clients and families.
Greg and his wife Anne enjoy scuba diving and have experienced many beautiful reefs in the Caribbean. His weekends in the summer are spent at the family cottage. In his free time he enjoys sketching and painting as way to relax and stay grounded.
Jennyfer joined Selectacare in 2022. She previously held the position of Head Nurse in Saudi Arabia. In her work as a nurse, she demonstrated her ability to use clinical case management techniques in the creation, evaluation, planning, coordination, and monitoring of care services. As a nurse who received her education abroad she has brought a wealth of experience to the Selectacare team. Jennyfer attained her Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) designation in 2023.
She has continued with her Nursing and attained her Basic and Advanced Diabetic Nursing Home Care Certification. She continues to pursue new roads in nursing each day.
Jennyfer’s vast experience as a nurse combined with her empathetic nature, has made her an advocate for the highest of care standards as well as a strong voice for our caregiving team.
Jennyfer’s greatest passion is spending time with her husband Ruben and children (Jeru, Ameerah, Ben-Ben and Harper). She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family exploring nature.
Mark started working with Selectacare in 2021. His past experiences include working as a clinical nurse in Saudi Arabia before moving to Toronto to work as a Personal Support Worker in a facility setting. His international nursing experience combined with his educational background in computer science has provided a strong foundation for his transition from a care role into an administrative role. His focus on the detail and the organization of our client services area has provided a solid base to the care we provide.
In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife Sheila and daughter Zara. He enjoys cooking, travelling, playing basketball, table tennis and volleyball. He is looking to further explore Ontario through his passion for biking, adventure camping and mountaineering.
